If you want to unlock the bootloader on your Sony Xperia Z3 smartphone, then you may want to bear in mind that doing so will reduce the camera quality on the handset.
Sony has confirmed that unlocking the bootloader on the Xperia Z3 will reduce the quality of photos taken with the device. The reason for this is that the handset comes with some advanced camera features that are protected by DRM.
When you unlock the bootloader on the handset, it will wipe the DRM keys from the device, and also remove these advanced camera features, which produce higher quality photos.
“For high-end devices running recent software versions, for instance Xperia Z3, the removal of DRM security keys may affect advanced camera functionality. For example, noise reduction algorithms might be removed, and performance when taking photos in low-light conditions might be affected.”
