Jackson Knife and Tool has once again taken to Kickstarter to launch their second-generation Umbra Titanium Framelock Flipper Knife which is now available to back via Kickstarter with pledges starting from $390 with shipping expected to take place during July 2017.
There are two variations on offer which take the form of a 3D machined contoured 6al4v grade 5 titanium together with a version which is equipped with a flat handle, beveled 6al4v grade 5 titanium casing.
Watch the promotional video below to learn more about the specifications and construction of this high-performance titanium Flipper Knife.
If you are interested in seeing the first generation design, do a google search for “Steve Jackson Umbra” and you will find what you are looking for. I only made 5 of them. For now, I am limiting shipping to the US and Canada only due to the fact that I am not an expert in international knife laws. If you live in a country that will allow the shipping of knives through customs and are willing to take the risk on shipping, contact me and I will add your country.
I will be offering various finishes and anodizing options in the surveys at the end of the campaign. I want to try some new finishing tools. On the flat handle version, anodizing will be limited to the backspacer and pocket clip only.
Jump over to the Kickstarter crowdfunding website for more details and to make a pledge $390 to own one of the first second generation Umbra knives off the production line.
