EA has today announced the launch of a new service it’s created called Origin Game Time, thats been designed to enable gamers to play certain games for free for 48hrs on their PC systems via the Origin games network.
To mark the launch of the new Origin Game Time service EA is enabling the PC version of the new Titanfall game in its entirety to be played completely free of 48 hours.
The way the Origin Game Time service works is that participating users will receive a Game Time that counts down in real-time after you have selected the game. If you then pause or stop playing the game, the time counter will continue to count down until your 48hrs are depleted.
All progress you make in any game you choose to play during your 48-hour trial will then carry forward if you decide to purchase the full release of the game from Origin. EA explains :
“It’s Game Time! This is a brand new program on Origin: it’s free time with full games. Origin Game Time isn’t a demo, it’s the full game playable for free for as long as there’s time on your Game Time clock. And we’re kicking off Origin Game Time with a truly massive experience: Titanfall on PC.
This weekend you’ll be able to download Titanfall and play for free for two days straight. We’re launching Origin Game Time for Titanfall across the world over the next several hours, so if you don’t see it available yet in your territory, you will soon. Origin Game Time games will appear on our Free Games page when they’re available to download.”
