Too bad it isn’t water proof. Or fire proof, for that matter. It’s also unwearable. *sigh*
Still, this greenish installation from design purveyors Lobulo is an incredible hunk of fine craftsmanship. Go visit the homepage here and check out the blow-by-blow pics documenting its creation from beginning to promotional picture taking. It’s high art by any measure. Though we have a bad feeling it’s been disposed of already or is soon-to-be.
A glorious example of arts n’ craft wizardry it may be, but what it isn’t is the first of its kind. Sorry, ladies and gentlemen, but paper watches have been made and sold before.
Unlike every other article we do about watches however, there are no specs for these. Oh wait, here’s one (we just made it up): Exquisitely fine detail. Or how about hand-movable, uh, hands? We’re sure calling it glow-in-the-dark would be a stretch so scratch that.
Okay, so maybe this particular model will never enter production. Still, as a one off it deserves to have a place somewhere to showcase the G-Sock charm, all solid contours and industrial-machine aesthetics.
