The Tesla Solar Roof Tiles were made official back in October of last year, they are designed to look like normal roof tiles as we can see in the photo above.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk has announced that the company will start taking pre-orders on their Solar Roof Tiles from later today.

Elon Musk revealed on Twitter that these solar tiles will be available to pre-order from almost every country and this will include Australia and the UK and of course the US.
It looks like the company will start to deliver the tiles to customers in the US this year and in other countries next year.
As yet there are no details on how much these solar roof tiles will cost, we will have more information later when it is made available
