Tesla apparently did not use stock tires and a stock setup where as the Porsche had summer stock tires on and it was actually their Taycan Turbo that set the record not their more powerful Turbo S model.
Porsche has apparently suggested that it they send their Turbo S model around the track at the Nurburgring it may beat the Tesla’s time. It will be interesting to see how this develops, we suspect we may here more from both Tesla and Porsche about this in the future.
