Porsche has announced that their new electric car, the Porsche Taycan has set a new record at the Nürburgring. We recently saw an endurance test video of the car.
The car managed a time of 7 minutes and 42 seconds at the Nürburgring-Nordschleife, the car was drive by Lars Kern and it was a pre-production version of the car.
“The Taycan is also suitable for race tracks and it convincingly proved that here on the world’s most challenging circuit,” Kern explains. “Again and again, I am impressed at how stable the all-electric sports car handles in high-speed sections, such as Kesselchen, and how neutrally it accelerates from tight sections, such as Adenauer Forst.”
Porsche has released a video the the record taking place and this can be seen below, Porsche has been releasing more information on their new electric vehicle ahead of next months launch.
Porsche will make their new Taycan official at a press event on the 4th of September, we cant wait to find out more details about their first fully electric sports car.
