The Tablio Mini Desk project is currently over on the Kickstarter crowd funding website looking to raise enough pledges to make the jump from concept to production and Rodolfo Lozano its designer explains a little more about the Tablio Mini Desk and his inspiration behind it.
“As a designer I spend most of my time on my computer. When I want to work somewhere other than my desk I need to be able to work comfortably while using my laptop and my mouse.
When I watch TV or I am lying in bed using my computer I would find myself placing a magazine or a book as a mouse pad. After several minutes of trying awkward positions I would have to go back to my desk as I just could not continue working in an uncomfortable position.
I decided to look around for products that would help me avoid this situation. After checking some of the available computer pads or portable desks, I found that they were not fully functional or did not have the design aesthetics that I was looking for.
This motivated me to create something that would meet my needs.”
