T-Mobile has announced a new version of the Sidekick, and this one is powered by Google’s Android OS, and T-mobile describes it as the ‘Sidekick reborn’.
The new T-Mobile Sidekick is made by Samsung, and it shares many design features with the original Sidekick, it still has a slide out QWERTY keyboard, and there is also a 3.5 inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display, and it comes with Android 2.2 Froyo plus a custom TouchWiz interface.
Other specifications on the T-Mobile Sidekick include 4G HSPA+ connectivity, a front facing VGA camera for video chat and a rear facing three megapixel camera.
The T-Mobile Sidekick comes with full access to Google’s Android Market, and it comes with a range of social media applications built in which include Facebook and Twitter.
Plus a range of applications from Samsung’s media hub which include T-Mobile TV, plus group and cloud messaging. There are no details on pricing as yet you can find out more details over at T-Mobile.
