Pico Goblin Standalone VR Headset Unveiled For $249

A new stand-alone VR headset has been unveiled this week by hardware manufacturers Pico which is equipped with the hardwareTaking the form of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 3GB of RAM, and 16GB of eMMC 5.1 storage.

Together with a 5.5inch Super Fast TFT LCD display offering a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and taking the form of the Pico Goblin stand-alone VR headset. Pico Is hoping to start shipping the Pico Goblin in the next two months and has now made it available to pre-order with prices starting from $249. During the pre-order period, Pico is offering a $20 discount off the recommended retail price for those interested.

Features of the Pico Goblin include a display refresh rate of 70 Hz and a 92-degree field of view as well as 3 degrees of freedom motion tracking. Access to more than 50 games will be available at launch says Pico and the VR headset will even come preloaded with five VR applications to get you started.
