It looks like the guys from GTV Hacker have finally managed to root the Sony Google TV, which will give owners of Sony Google TV devices access to a range of new features on rooted devices.
In order to root your Sony Google TV, the device will need to be flashed to an earlier version of the software, and then upgraded to the current version with a new kernel and toot access.
We give to you our latest release, a root for all current Sony Google TV devices that we call “The GTVHacker Sony Recovery Downgrader & Rebooter”. This method will allow you root and run custom unsigned kernels on your Sony Google TV device.
