Potential Specifications and Features
As yet Sony has not revealed any details on when the Sony Xperia Z4 will be launched outside of Japan, there is the possibility that the international version of the handset could have different specifications. It is possible that the international version of the Sony Xperia Z4 could come with a Quad HD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, we would expect the handset to have the same processor as the Japanese version.
The Japanese version of the Xperia Z4 is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage, which can be expanded via a microSD card slot. It also features a 20.7-megapixel rear camera and a 5.1-megapixel front-facing camera, making it a strong contender in the smartphone camera market. The device is powered by a 2930 mAh battery and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop.
What to Expect from Xperia Z4 Compact and Z4 Ultra
The Xperia Z4 Compact is expected to be a smaller version of the flagship Z4, likely featuring a 4.7-inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. This would make it a great option for users who prefer a more pocket-friendly device without compromising on performance. The Compact model is also anticipated to have similar internal specifications to the Z4, including the Snapdragon 810 processor and a high-quality camera setup.
On the other hand, the Xperia Z4 Ultra is rumored to be a larger phablet-style device, potentially featuring a 6.4-inch display. This would cater to users who enjoy larger screens for media consumption, gaming, and productivity tasks. The Ultra model might also come with enhanced features such as a larger battery to support the bigger screen and possibly additional software optimizations for multitasking.
Sony has a history of releasing multiple variants of their flagship devices to cater to different market segments. For example, the Xperia Z3 series included the Z3 Compact and Z3 Tablet Compact, both of which were well-received for their balance of performance and portability.
