It’s been almost six months since Sony unveiled the Sony Xperia Z1 at the IFA 2013 in Berlin, and now the Xperia Z2 with improved specifications and software.
But, it appears as if the handset will be the flagship device of the company for the first half of 2014, hinting at the possible launch of its successor may in August or IFA 2014 in Berlin. The news came from Sony Mobile’s Creative Director Kurozumi Yoshiro, who was talking to the Japanese media after the launch of the Xperia Z2 and Z2 Tablet.
When Mr Kurozumi was asked about the quick launch of the Xperia Z2, he said it is in response to the fast moving smartphone industry. “In order to maintain a flagship, you must update at this frequency,” Mr Kurozumi said. He also said that the Xperia Z2 is the company’s flagship for the first half of 2014, which means we can expect its successor, the Xperia Z3 to launch at IFA 2013 in Berlin or maybe before.
He further said that the company will not stick to a single design, which means we can expect the successor of the Xperia Z2 to launch with a new design. What do you think about this Xperia fans? A good news or a bad?
