Sony has adopted a very unique way to market and sell their latest Sony Waterproof MP3 players, by packaging the waterproof MP3 players in a bottle of water which can be purchased from vending machines in leisure centres and health clubs.
Advertising agency DraftFCB based in Auckland created the new marketing campaign for Sony to help market its latest Sony Waterproof MP3 players throughout New Zealand.
The Sony Waterproof MP3 players have been available worldwide for some time but the unique packaging Sony has adopted reinforces the waterproof features of the MP3 player and provides a very original packaging concept and talking point.
Check out the video below to learn more about Sony’s new marketing campaign currently underway in New Zealand. Being waterproof the NWZ-W273 is able to be submerged in water to a depth of up to 2 metres or 6.6 feet, but Sony advises against using the Walkman in sea water.
Sony has also designed the W Series waterproof Walkman to provide an hour of use from just three minutes of charge time, and the headphones and MP3 player are connected via a tension band for a supportive fit and comes supplied with small, medium, and large earpieces.
