Shaka has developed a new gadget for Apple’s iPhone which will allow users to measure wind speed, direction and temperature, using a small portable wind meter and iOS app, to record measurement in real-time.
The new Shaka wind meter simply plugs into the 3.5 mm headphone jack on your iPhone, and then communicates the wind speed back to its companion application for you to view.
The iPhone companion application which has been designed specifically for the wind meter will also enable you to share your measurements with friends via popular social networks. As well as keeping records for your favourite hangouts.
“We came up with a concept of an accurate wind meter for smartphones that would actually be connected and allow wind information to be easily shared between wind addicts in real-time. And there would be easier way to find good wind conditions, verified by community.”
The new iPhone wind meter is not currently available at the present time, but is in the final stages of development and will soon be ready for production. For further information on when the iPhone wind meter will be available, you can register your interest over on the Shaka website.
