One of these days, I will turn my upstairs toy room into a media room. That will have to wait until my kids are older though. When that time does come, I will be getting a projector so I can get a giant image. If you are in the market for a projector, Sanyo has unveiled a new one.
The projector is called the Sanyo PLV-Z4000 and it used the TopazReal HD system. The projector uses 3LCD tech and offers a 120Hz refresh rate. The contrast ratio is 65000:1 and should provide deep black levels.
The projector has full1080p resolution and 1200 ANSI lumens of brightness. It also supports 24 fps for movies in their native frame rate. The projector has a pair of HDMI 1.3b ports, two sets of component inputs, D-sub, S-video, and composite inputs. The thing will ship in May for $2,495.
