The Samsung Z9005 is expected to be Samsung’s first Tizen smartphone, we heard about the handsets specifications a while back and now we have an actual video of this new Tizen handset.
We heard previously that the Samsung Z9005 would feature a HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, the handset is rumored to feature the latest high end mobile processor from Qualcomm.
The Samsung Z9005 will come with 4G LTE and will be powered by a quad core Snapdragon 800 processor, not details on RAM as yet, although we would expect at least 2GB.
As you can see from the video the user interface on this Samsung Tizen device is very similar to their TouchWiz UI, the UI also takes some inspiration from MeeGo.
Also the menu layout and options sections look similar to those sections on Samsung Galaxy Android handsets, and overall the looks seems very similar to Android.
We suspect that Samsung has intentionally made the UI on their Tizen handset look similar to their TouchWiz UI and also Android on their devices on purpose.
As current users of Samsung’s devices will find the look of the Tizen UI very similar to their existing devices, which may entice them to purchase a Tizen handset.
