We have been hearing rumors over the last few months that next years iPad 3, would feature a much higher resolution display than the existing iPad, and now according to a recent report, Samsung may launch a high resolution tablet before Apple.
Apple is expected to launch the iPad 3 around March or April of 2012, but it would appear that Samsung has an 11.6 inch tablet in the works that will feature a display with a 2560 x 1600 resolution that is expected to be shown off at MWC 2011 in February.
According to the BGR this new high resolution Samsung tablet will come with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and will feature Samsung’s new dual core 2GHz Exynos 5250 processor.
The Samsung tablet is expected to be the same size as the existing Galaxy Tab 10.1, although with the 11.6 inch display, this will apparently be achieved by a much thinner bezel that the Galaxy Tab 10.1
Other features included in the new Samsung tablet are rumored to be Android Beam, for easy syncing of the device with the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, plus a special wireless docking mode that will let you watch content and play games on your HDTV like Apple’s AirPlay.
