Yesterday we heard that Samsung Pay was not available on the Verizon Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, now Verizon has confirmed that Samsung’s mobile payment system at launch, which is tomorrow the 11th of March.
The confusion came when some people received the Galaxy S7 on Verizon ahead of the official launch, the app was not on the phone and it was assumed that Verizon had blocked the app, this is not the case.
Verizon have said that the framework for Samsung Pay is on the handset and that the app will be available to download for the handsets when they official launch tomorrow the 11th of March, you can see a statement that we received from Verizon below.
Verizon’s Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge devices are compatible with the Samsung Pay app, which Samsung will make available on the Google Play Store soon. Please contact Samsung for more information.
So it looks like Samsung Pay will be available on both handsets when they go on sale with Verizon Wireless tomorrow.
