Earlier today we heard about the new Samsung Galaxy Round smartphone, and now we have a video which gives us a quick look at Samsung’s first Android device with a flexible curved display.
The Samsung Galaxy Round features a 5.7 inch Super AMOLED display with a HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, the handset comes with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.
Other specifications on the Samsung Galaxy Round, include a quad core 2.3GHz processor and 3GB of RAM, the device also features a 13 megapixel camera.
Innovative Design and Display
The standout feature of the Samsung Galaxy Round is undoubtedly its curved display. This innovative design not only sets it apart from other smartphones on the market but also offers a unique user experience. The curved Super AMOLED display is designed to provide better grip and comfort when holding the device. Additionally, the curvature of the screen is said to enhance the viewing experience by reducing glare and providing a more immersive feel when watching videos or playing games.
The 5.7-inch screen size is quite generous, making it ideal for multimedia consumption. The Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels ensures that images and videos are sharp and vibrant. Samsung’s Super AMOLED technology is known for its deep blacks and vivid colors, which further enhances the visual experience.
Performance and Connectivity
Under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy Round is powered by a quad-core 2.3GHz processor, which ensures smooth performance and quick response times. Coupled with 3GB of RAM, the device is well-equipped to handle multitasking and demanding applications. Whether you’re browsing the web, streaming videos, or playing games, the Galaxy Round promises a seamless experience.
The device also comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera, which is capable of capturing high-quality photos and videos. The camera features various modes and settings, allowing users to take professional-looking shots with ease. For selfie enthusiasts, the front-facing camera offers decent performance, making it suitable for video calls and self-portraits.
In terms of connectivity, the Samsung Galaxy Round is packed with features. It supports LTE Advanced, which ensures faster internet speeds and better network performance. NFC (Near Field Communication) is also included, allowing for easy sharing of files and contactless payments. Bluetooth 4.0 ensures compatibility with a wide range of wireless accessories, while USB 3.0 provides faster data transfer speeds compared to its predecessors.
The device comes with 32GB of built-in storage, which should be sufficient for most users. However, for those who need more space, the Galaxy Round also supports expandable storage via a microSD card slot. This flexibility ensures that users can store all their photos, videos, and apps without worrying about running out of space.
The Samsung Galaxy Round features LTE Advanced, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, 32GB of built-in storage, and USB 3.0. The device will launch in South Korea tomorrow.
As yet it looks like Samsung does not have any plans to launch the Samsung Galaxy Round outside of South Korea, although this could possibly change in the future. The limited release could be a strategic move by Samsung to test the market response to the curved display technology before considering a global rollout. If the device proves to be popular in South Korea, it is likely that Samsung will consider launching it in other markets.
