We heard in February that the under display fingerprint scanner may not be ready for this years Samsung Galaxy Note 9 smartphone. Now another report has backed up this rumor and it looks like the feature may not arrive until next years Galaxy S10.
According to a new report from KGI securities analyst Ming Chi Kuo, Samsung is not expected to have their under display fingerprint technology ready for the launch of this years Note 9.
Samsung is expected to launch their new Galaxy Note 9 some time in August, the handset will get a number of upgrades over the Galaxy Note 8. The handset is expected to come with the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor in some countries and the Samsung Exynos 9810 processor in other countries.
The device will come with more RAM than the Note 8 and it will also get Samsung’s new cameras that launched with the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus. The handset is expected to feature a dual camera setup like the Galaxy S9 Plus.
We have seen a couple of smartphones with in display fingerprint scanners, although it looks like we will have to wait until next year to see one from Samsung.
