The Samsung Galaxy Alpha is now available in the US, the handset is being sold unofficially through retailer Expansys, and an unlocked version of the handset will set you back $699.99.
The handset recently launched in the UK, and the device comes with a metal casing, which is a change for Samsung, and it also comes with some decent specifications.
The Samsung Galaxy Alpha features a 4.7 inch high definition Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, processing is provided by an 8 core Samsung Exynos 5430 processor.
Other specifications on the new Galaxy Alpha include 2GB of RAM, 32GB of built in storage, plus a 2.1 megapixel front camera and a 12 megapixel rear camera.
The Samsung Galaxy Alpha features a 1860 mAh battery, WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC and 4G LTE, it comes with the latest version of Google’s mobile OS, Android 4.4.4 KitKat.
Samsung has yet to officially announce when the device will launch in the U.S., so you might want to wait until then, as it would probably be cheaper than the one being offered by Expansys.
