During the Internet of Things World event this week Samsung more widely known for its TVs, smartphones and other hardware, has unveiled a new Arduino compatible platform called Samsung ARTIK.
The Samsung ARTIK range currently consists of three development boards in the form of the ARTIK 1, ARTIK 5, and ARTIK 10 all of which are equipped with multi-core ARM processors.
Together with support for Bluetooth 4.0 LTE and the ARTIK 5, and 10 are also fitted with support for Wi-Fi, BT, Zigbee, and Thread wireless connections. Curtis Sasaki, Vice President of Ecosystem, Samsung Electronics explains a little more :
“Our approach is to provide open platforms to help accelerate the development of IoT for our customers, developers, and end users”-“Being part of Arduino’s Certified Program helps millions of developers familiar with Arduino IDE to take advantage and focus all of their energy to building new and innovative products.”
