Porsche recently unveiled their new Cayman GT4 and now according to a recent report there may be an even faster version on the way, the Porsche Cayman GT4 RS.
Last week we saw the new Porsche 911 GT3 RS and now Porsche are apparently considering a RS version of the Cayman GT4.
The news comes in a report from Evo who spoke to Porsche’s Andreas Preuninger at the Geneva Motor Show, who has the following to say about a possible Porsche Cayman GT4 RS.
‘This is just the beginning of the era. I would be interested in doing a Cayman GT4 RS version, but at the moment we didn’t even talk about such a thing. If the customers call for something like this we could think about it.
‘We underestimated the success of the Cayman GT4, which shows that we were right with the concept. In England, within three days two years of cars were sold. It happened in Sweden, it happened in Germany…everywhere.’
The recently launched Cayman GT4 comes with some impressive performance which includes a 0 to 60 MPH time of just 4.2 seconds and a top speed of 183 miles per hour, the car features 385 horsepower.
The new Porsche Cayman GT4 RS would obviously be faster and even more track focused than the current GT4.
