Today Sony has released the next major update for their next-generation PlayStation 4 console, making it available for owners to download.
New additions rolling out with the latest PlayStation 4 update include the addition of the new video editing application ShareFactory. Which Sony has created to compete with Microsoft’s Xbox One Upload Studio application.
Other new features included in the latest PS4 update include new DualShock 4 controller light bar settings that allow you to change its brightness to high, medium or low via the settings menu.
Sony has also added an automatic pre-download feature, In preparation for the launch of Watch Dogs, which will be the first game to use this feature. Together with an option to disable HDCP four games, as well as updating the touchpad to enable users to navigate the on-screen keyboard as well as new PlayStation Camera commands. Sony has also this week rolled out a new PS Vita firmware update 3.15 and updated their PlayStation App to enhance integration of both app and handheld with their PlayStation 4 console.
