Dani Morales has designed and built a prototype automated smart cat feeder which comes complete with its own companion application enabling you to feed your cat from afar or monitor its feeding habits. The Petpresso has this week launched via Kickstarter with the aim of raising €12,500, check out the video below to learn more about its unique features.
Not only can Petpresso help feed your cat but also monitor your cats habits alerting you to any differences in its feeding and drinking pattern which may indicate a health issue. Petpresso uses a microcontroller and wireless module that connects to a cloud server and an smartphone application from which you can manage your Petpresso device, and monitor your cat with ease. Features include the ability to schedule food and water, put your cat on a diet, share your cats eating habits with your vet view a complete history of your cats eating habits and more.
Petpresso’s patented system is unique: it’s the only device with weighting sensors under the feeding and drinking plates. “Thanks to these sensors, Petpresso monitors what your cat eats and drinks in real time. Using the feeding and drinking data, Petpresso establishes a statistical model about your cat habits, and provides notifications and alerts when it detects some unusual feeding or drinking behaviour, allowing you to check if there is any problem with your cat’s health in time.”
