O2 managed to score the exclusive rights to the Apple iPhone in the UK when it first launched, and it has been a great success for them.
It looks liked they have scored another first, as O2 will be getting the Palm Pre in the UK and some European countries.
This is great news for Palm Pre fans, I am currently with O2 with the Apple iPhone, and I have to admit I have been very happy with their service and it is definitely better than some of the providers in the UK (I have been with most of them).
O2 also have a great platform to launch the Palm Pre on, with over 20 million customers in the UK, they are bound to have a large amount of customers trying out the Pre.
I wonder how this will effect iPhone sales in the UK, as it is also with O2, it will be interesting to see how many customers decide to switch from the iPhone to the Pre.
I am slightly tempted as the Palm Pre does look like a great mobile phone, I guess it really depends on what Apple announces next month at the WWDC, as we have heard a number or rumors that they will launch a new iPhone.
