Adding to the ever growing list of external graphics card docking stations and accelerators, from the likes of Aorus, Zotac, and Razer. HP has this week unveiled their $300 external graphics card solution in the form of the HP Omen External Graphics Accelerator.
Designed to plug into any PC using a Thunderbolt 3 port the external graphics card casing supports cards from either Nvidia or AMD and also includes a storage bay that can accept a 2.5 inch hard drive or solid state drive (SSD).
Other features of the HP Omen External Graphics Accelerator include a 60W charging cable that is capable of providing power to your laptop when the Omen Accelerator is connected, thanks to its 500 watt power supply with 300 watts graphic card support. Other connections include Ethernet jack, 4 x USB 3.0 Type-A ports and a single USB 3.1 Type-C port.
