We have already heard this morning that there seems to be a shortage of the iPhone 5S in the UK, and now we have more details about orders of the handset from O2.
I just placed an order for the iPhone 5S on O2, who are my current provider, and was told that the handset would be available in 3 to 6 weeks, O2 are also showing this shipping time on their website.
I just got a text message from O2 confirming when my handset will ship, and was given a shipping date of the 1st of November, we have also heard the same date from other people who have ordered the iPhone 5S from O2.
O2 seems to have some stock of the Space Grey version of the iPhone 5S, although the gold and sliver models are all showing shipping of between three and six weeks.
It is not clear as yet why O2 and some other carriers seem to have no stock of the iPhone 5S, it looks like Apple has stock in its retail stores although there are no details on how long this will last for.
The iPhone 5S has been replaced by the iPhone SE, have a look at our comparison of the iPhone 5S vs iPhone SE. Also have a look at our iPhone 6S vs Samsung Galaxy S7 comparison.
