On June 27th the new Nvidia Shield games console will arrive in stores and be available to purchase for its recently reduced launch price of $299.
The handheld Nvidia Shield console is equipped with a 5 inch 720p multi touch display, and powered by a quad-core Tegra 4 processor, a 72-core GPU, 2GB of RAM.
Together with 16GB of internal storage, a microSD slot and runs Google’s latest Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system. The Nvidia Shield has been created to be used as both a standalone handheld games console but can also be wirelessly connected to a PC which is fitted with an Nvidia GeForce graphics card.
Now the new Twitch TV app has also been specifically updated to support the new Nvidia Shield console allowing owners to watch Twitch game streaming directly on the Nvidia Shield. The Nvidia Shield controls can be used to navigate through the entire app, and even allows you to switch stream quality depending on your available bandwidth.
