A new update firmware version 1.2 released by Barnes & Noble today for their Nook Color tablet has brought with it a number of important new features, with support for Android 2.2 (Froyo), a new Nook Color app store, Adobe Flash Player and now a built-in email client.
The new app store may only bring with it 125 new free and paid apps, but the addition of the new app store brings the Nook Color inline with other tablets that benefit for additional apps. Currently available apps include news reader Pulse, and the massively popular Angry Birds game together with utilities and lifestyle apps.
Also the new built-in email reader now allows users to sign in and check their email from a number of webmail accounts from major providers such as Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail and AOL, and the addition of Adobe Flash Player now enhances the browser experience and allows users to benefit from in book video and audio files.
