We have been hearing rumors that Nokia are working on a Windows 8 tablet, the existence of the device was confirmed by Nokia’s design chief, Marko Ahtisaari, back in March.
Now Nokia’s Chairman, Jorma Olila has told the Financial Times that the company will launch a range of tablets and some ‘hybrid’ smart mobile devices.
“Tablets are an important one, so that is being looked into, and there will be different hybrids, different form factors [handset designs] in the future,” said Ollila.
We still don’t have any information on Nokia’s first Windows 8 tablet, but we suspect we will hear something closer to the launch of Windows 8, which is expected some time in the fall.
