Earlier this year Sony took the wraps off its new laser projector in the form of the Sony MP-CL1 mobile projector, which is now available to purchase price to $350.
The pocket-sized mobile protector has been specifically designed to be used with a smartphone and is capable of projecting an image onto almost any surface. Sony explains a little more about the technology included in this tiny projector

Choose the image size to suit the situation, with a flexible screen size ranging from short throw for a 40 inch (diag.) image, up to a 120 inch (diag.) screen image when pulled back. Either way, count on a bigger image at a shorter distance. The MP-CL1 features laser technology that focuses a tight beam of light for every pixel of the image to maintain a sharp image from up close or far away.
