Samsung is apparently working on the successor for the Gear S3, the Samsung Gear S4, and the device will launch some time this year.
According to a recent report, the smartwatch will come with the model number SM-R800 and it is being developed by Samsung in the US at the moment.
Upgraded Hardware and Performance
The device will get a number of upgrades over the current smartwatch, including a faster processor and more RAM. This will ensure smoother performance and quicker response times, making the user experience more seamless. The enhanced hardware will also support more complex applications and multitasking capabilities, which is a significant improvement over the Gear S3.
In addition to the processor and RAM upgrades, the Gear S4 is expected to feature a more efficient battery, potentially offering longer usage times between charges. This is a crucial aspect for users who rely on their smartwatches for daily activities and fitness tracking.
Enhanced Fitness and Health Tracking Features
The Gear S4 will come with some improved fitness tracking and health tracking features over the current device. This includes more accurate heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, and possibly new features such as blood pressure monitoring and stress level tracking. These enhancements will make the Gear S4 a more comprehensive health companion, catering to a wider range of fitness enthusiasts and health-conscious users.
Moreover, the smartwatch is likely to include advanced GPS capabilities, allowing for more precise tracking of outdoor activities such as running, cycling, and hiking. This will be particularly beneficial for users who engage in these activities regularly and require accurate data to monitor their progress.
Connectivity and Compatibility
There will be an LTE model of the Gear S4 in the US, and it will be compatible with AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile. This means users will have the flexibility to choose their preferred carrier and enjoy seamless connectivity without relying on their smartphones. The LTE model will enable features such as making calls, sending messages, and streaming music directly from the smartwatch.
The Gear S4 will apparently be offered in a choice of different sizes, catering to users with varying wrist sizes and preferences. This customization option will make the smartwatch more appealing to a broader audience, ensuring a comfortable fit for everyone.
Design and User Interface
While specific details about the design of the Gear S4 are still under wraps, it is expected that Samsung will continue its tradition of sleek and stylish designs. The smartwatch will likely feature a high-resolution display with vibrant colors and excellent visibility in different lighting conditions. The user interface is also expected to receive an upgrade, making it more intuitive and user-friendly.
Samsung will be looking to launch their new smartwatch some time in quarter four of 2018. As soon as we get some more details on the device, we will let you guys know.
