Earlier we heard that the new OnePlus 5 would come in four colors and now it looks like we have some leaked renders of the handset.
The new press renders of the OnePlus 5 show the rear cameras in a different position to the prototype photos we saw previously.

The new renders for the OnePlus 5 show a horizontal dual camera at the top of the handset with a single LED flash next to the cameras, whereas the prototype had a vertical camera setup. This change in design could be indicative of OnePlus’s efforts to optimize the camera performance and ergonomics of the device.
Enhanced Camera Capabilities
The horizontal dual-camera setup is expected to offer significant improvements in photography. Dual cameras can provide better depth perception, improved low-light performance, and enhanced zoom capabilities. This setup might also support advanced features like portrait mode, which blurs the background to make the subject stand out, and possibly even 4K video recording. The inclusion of a single LED flash suggests that OnePlus is focusing on providing adequate lighting for night-time photography without compromising on the sleek design of the handset.
Powerful Hardware and Performance
As we heard previously, the new OnePlus 5 will come with a 5.5-inch display with a Quad HD resolution, ensuring vibrant colors and sharp details. This makes it ideal for media consumption, gaming, and productivity tasks. The device will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, which is known for its high performance and energy efficiency. This chipset will ensure that the OnePlus 5 can handle demanding applications and multitasking with ease.
OnePlus is also rumored to launch another version of the handset with 8GB of RAM, which could be exclusive to the Chinese market. This would make the OnePlus 5 one of the first smartphones to offer such a high amount of RAM, providing an even smoother and faster user experience. The standard model will come with 6GB of RAM, which is still more than sufficient for most users.
The device is also rumored to come with a 3600 mAh battery, which should provide ample battery life to get through a full day of heavy usage. Additionally, the OnePlus 5 is expected to support fast charging technology, allowing users to quickly recharge their device and get back to using it without long wait times.
The OnePlus 5 will run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box, offering a clean and smooth user interface with access to the latest features and security updates. OnePlus is known for its near-stock Android experience, which is appreciated by many users for its simplicity and speed.
We are expecting the new OnePlus 5 to be made official next month. As soon as we get some more information about the device, we will let you guys know. The anticipation for the OnePlus 5 is high, and it is expected to be a strong competitor in the flagship smartphone market, offering high-end features at a more affordable price point compared to other flagship devices.
