Gamers that own a Nintendo 3DS handheld games console and would like to enjoy the region free gaming, may be interested in a new exploit that has been published this week.
To enable the new exploit you will require a copy of the obscure puzzle game, Cubic Ninja but once you have one the exploit is as easy as scanning a QR code from within the game.
The 3DS exploit has been created by 3DS coder Jordan “Smealum” Rabet and the benefit of this Nintendo 3DS exploit over others. Is that this method works on the most recent firmware for both the 3DS and New 3DS consoles and doesn’t enable any possibility for loading pirates or home-brew software.
If you have a copy of the required Cubic Ninja game you can access the required QR codes from the Smealum’s site via the link below. In a previous interview with Eurogamer a Nintendo spokesperson explained :
“Nintendo continuously monitors all threats to its products’ security,”-“We will take the necessary technical and legal steps to prevent the facilitation of piracy and to protect intellectual property rights.”
