Motorola will be making their three new G6 smartphones official later today, the Moto G6 Play, Moto G6 Plus, and the Moto G6. Now some of these handsets have been listed on the Carphone Warehouse website ahead of launch.
Both the Moto G6 Plus and the Moto G6 Play are now listed on the retailer’s website, although there are no specifications accompanying the listing.
Rumored Specifications and Features
We previously heard that the Moto G6 is rumored to come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, which is known for its balance of performance and efficiency. This chipset is expected to be paired with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, making it a solid mid-range device. Additionally, there is also rumored to be another version of the handset with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, catering to users who need more memory and storage for apps, photos, and videos.
The device will come with a 5.93-inch display with a Full HD+ resolution, providing a crisp and clear viewing experience. This makes it ideal for watching videos, browsing the web, and playing games. The display is expected to have an 18:9 aspect ratio, which is becoming the standard for modern smartphones, offering a more immersive viewing experience.
Camera Capabilities
In terms of camera capabilities, the Moto G6 is expected to feature dual rear cameras. One of these cameras is rumored to be a 5-megapixel sensor, while the other is a 12-megapixel sensor. This dual-camera setup is likely to offer enhanced photo quality, with features such as portrait mode, which blurs the background to make the subject stand out. The combination of these two sensors could also provide better low-light performance and more detailed images.
The front-facing camera is expected to be equipped with a high-resolution sensor as well, making it perfect for selfies and video calls. With the increasing popularity of social media platforms like Instagram and Snapchat, a good front camera is a must-have feature for many users.
Additional Features and Expectations
The Moto G6 Play, on the other hand, is expected to be a more budget-friendly option. While specific details about its specifications are not yet available, it is likely to feature a slightly less powerful processor and lower RAM and storage options compared to the Moto G6. However, it is expected to retain the same large display size and aspect ratio, making it a great option for those who want a big screen without breaking the bank.
The Moto G6 Plus is expected to be the most premium model in the lineup. It is rumored to come with a larger display, possibly around 6 inches, and higher-end specifications. This could include a more powerful processor, more RAM, and additional storage options. The camera setup on the G6 Plus is also expected to be more advanced, offering even better photo and video capabilities.
Motorola has a history of offering solid build quality and near-stock Android experiences with their G series smartphones. This means that users can expect a clean and smooth user interface, with timely updates and minimal bloatware. The new G6 series is also expected to come with the latest version of Android out of the box, providing users with the latest features and security updates.
We will have more details on all three devices later today, including official specifications, pricing, and availability. Stay tuned for more information as Motorola unveils their latest smartphones.
