MediaTek has announced their latest mobile processor, the MT6795, which is a MediaTek 64-bit 8 core mobile processor designed to be used in high end devices.
The new MediaTek 64-bit processor comes with a clock speed of up to 2.2GHz, and it also offers support for 2K displays, plus LTE.
“MediaTek has once again demonstrated leading engineering capabilities by delivering breakthrough technology and time-to-market advantage that enable limitless opportunities for our partners and end users, while setting the bar even higher for our competition,” said Jeffrey Ju, General Manager of the MediaTek Smartphone Business Unit. “With a complete and inclusive 64-bit LTE SoC product portfolio, we are firmly on track to lead the industry in delivering premium mobile user experiences for years to come.”
The MediaTek MT6795 offers support for dual channel LPDDR3 RAM clocked at 933MHz, the company has designed this new 64-bit SoC to be used in high end Android smartphones and tablets.
As yet there are no details on which will be the first devices to use this new MediaTek 64-bit mobile processor, as soon as we get some more information, we will let you guys know.
We are looking forward to seeing some benchmarks on the new MediaTek 64-bit processor scores in benchmarks when compared to some of the other chips on the market at the moment.
