Huawei will be announcing their new Huawei Mate 20 smartphone later in the year. Now, the handset has popped up on the AnTuTu benchmarks, giving us a glimpse of its impressive performance capabilities.
The device is listed on AnTuTu with a score of 356918, which is quite a jump from their current flagship, the Huawei Mate 10, which scores 214037. This significant increase in benchmark scores suggests that the Huawei Mate 20 will offer substantial improvements in both speed and efficiency.
Performance and Specifications
This new Huawei Mate smartphone is expected to be powered by a new Kirin 980 processor, which will bring some serious performance improvements to the device over the handset it replaces. The Kirin 980 is built on a 7nm process, making it more efficient and powerful compared to its predecessors. It is expected to feature an octa-core CPU and a Mali-G76 GPU, which should provide excellent graphics performance for gaming and other intensive tasks.
In addition to the new processor, the Huawei Mate 20 is rumored to come with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. This combination of hardware will ensure that the device can handle multitasking with ease and provide a smooth user experience. The handset is also expected to feature a large battery, possibly around 4000mAh, which should offer excellent battery life.
Camera and Other Features
Huawei has always been known for its impressive camera technology, and the Mate 20 is expected to continue this trend. The device is rumored to feature a triple-camera setup on the rear, similar to the Huawei P20 Pro. This setup could include a primary sensor, a wide-angle lens, and a telephoto lens, allowing users to capture stunning photos in various conditions. The front-facing camera is also expected to see improvements, with a higher resolution sensor and better low-light performance.
The Huawei Mate 20 is also expected to come with a range of other features, including an in-display fingerprint sensor, facial recognition technology, and support for fast charging. The device will likely run on Huawei’s EMUI 9.0, which is based on Android 9.0 Pie. This new version of EMUI is expected to bring a range of new features and improvements, including a more streamlined user interface and better performance.
We are not expecting to see this new Huawei smartphone until much later in the year. The handset will probably be made official sometime in September or October. As soon as we get some more details about the device, we will let you guys know.
The Huawei Mate 20 is shaping up to be an impressive device with significant improvements over its predecessor. With a powerful new processor, ample RAM and storage, and an advanced camera system, the Mate 20 is likely to be a strong contender in the high-end smartphone market. Keep an eye out for more information as we get closer to the official announcement.
