More details have this week been revealed for the upcoming new range of Windows 8.1 notebooks that will be priced under $200, in the for of the new HP Stream laptop that is expected to launch very soon priced at just $199.
The new HP Stream Windows 8.1 notebook is powered by a low power AMD A4 Micro-6400T “Mullins” quad-core processor supported by 2 GB of RAM and Radeon R3 graphics.
Options are available for either 32 or 64 GB of eMMC solid state storage and other features include 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity. As well as HDMI output, SDXC card reader 720p webcam, Beats Audio and 2 x USB 2.0 and 1 x USB 3.0 ports.
HP is also offering their latest Windows 8.1 notebook with 100 GB of cloud storage available for two years using Microsoft’s One Drive cloud storage service. The Windows 8.1 laptop is also Equipped with a 14 inch display offering users a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels.
Unfortunately no official information on a release date in the US or worldwide availability has been announced as yet by HP or Microsoft, but as soon as more information about the new range of affordable Windows 8.1 notebooks comes to light we will keep you updated as always.
