
The new Audi Q7 was made official last month and now Audi has shown the vehicle off at this years Detroit Auto Show, the Audi Q7 is designed to be lighter and more efficient than its predecessor.
The new Audi Q7 is up to 325 KG lighter than the previous model, it is also more fuel efficient and uses around 26 percent less fuel than the previous model.

Prof. Dr. Ulrich Hackenberg, Audi Board Member for Technical Development: “The new Audi Q7 is a statement of our competence. Weighing up to 325 kilograms (716.5 lb) less, it sets the benchmark in its class. It is around 26 percent more efficient and is equipped with the latest assistance systems, infotainment modules and connect features.”

The Audi Q7 will come with a range of engine options which will include a 3.0 TDI with 272HP, a 3.0 TFSI which will come with 333 HP.

Performance wise, the TDI will have a 0 to 62 MPH time of 6.3 seconds and the TFSI will have a o to 62 MPH time of 6.1 seconds.

As well as the new petrol and diesel models, Audi is also launching a plug in hybrid version of the Audi Q7, this will land later in the year as the Audi Q7 e-tron Quattro.
