Acer has this week added two new Chromebox systems to its range of mini desktop PC systems in the form of the new Acer Chromebox CXI-i34KGM and Acer Chromebox XXI-i38KGM that are both equipped with Intel Haswell processors.
The new Acer Chromebox systems start at $350 providing you with an Intel Core i3-4030U dual-core processor supported by 4GB of RAM together with 16GB of storage, that can be expanded further by the use of the included microSD card slot.
For $400 Acer has equipped the Acer Chromebox XXI-i38KGM system with 8GB of RAM together with the same features you can expect to find across the range. These includes support for Bluetooth 4.0 and 802.11a/b/g/n connectivity together with 4 x USB 3.0 ports and a HDMI output that is capable of supporting 4K Ultra HD displays.
The new Acer Chromeboxes measure just 6.8 x 5.5 x 2.3 inches in size and will complete with other similar Chrome OS desktop devices that have been recently launched by the likes of Asus and Dell. Although the new Chromebox XXI-i38KGM is the only system currently offers 8 GB of RAM.
