If you are looking for a small portable hard disk drive, the new My Passport Ultra Portable HDD announced by Western Digital this week might be worth a little more research.
The new My Passport Ultra is available in 500GB, 1TB, and 2TB storage capacities and is equipped with USB 3.0 connectivity and comes supplied with WD Smartware Pro backup software which now includes Dropbox integration.
“The perfect companion for your Ultrabook and other slim notebooks. You get up to 2 TB in a sleek, compact design. Use WD Security to set password protection and hardware encryption and protect your files from unauthorized use or access.”
Only a few prices have been revealed for the small two drives with the 500GB version costing $99.99 and the 1TB version costing $129.99. No price has been released for the larger 2TB size as yet.
