In just a few weeks time the highly anticipated new Capcom game, Monster Hunter World, will be officially launching and available to play on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC systems from January 26th, 2018 onwards. The open world action role-playing game is the fifth in the Monster Hunter franchise and will only be available to enjoy on the PlayStation 4 in Japan at launch although all other previously mentioned platforms will be available outside of Japan at launch.
The new Monster Hunter World game now features much larger maps and seamless transitions between zones allowing players to enjoy further immersion without the jolt of a loading page. Single player and multiplayer modes are available offering four-player online co-operative gameplay as well as allowing players to connect globally to play together, a first for the Master Hunter series. To whet your appetite ahead of the game’s launch in a few weeks time Capcom have this week released a new trailer entitled Elder Dragons, check it out below.
Once launched Monster Hunter World will receive content updates for free starting to roll out during the spring 2018 providing players with new content, adventures and monsters. As with previous Monster Hunter games the latest is played from a third person perspective and players take on the role of a Hunter that is tasked by the “Research Commission” to hunt down and either kill or capture large monsters for further research, all of which are roaming outside their central base of Astera.
