
Microsoft has today made available their new Microsoft Surface 3 Windows tablet hardware, which is now available to purchase priced from $499 or £419.
The Microsoft Surface 3 tablet comes supplied running Windows 8.1 64-bit version and is also available running Windows Pro for business users and will also support the new operating system from Microsoft in the form of Windows 10 when it is released later this year.
The new Microsoft Surface 3 tablet is equipped with a 10.8 inch display that providing a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1280 pixels and is powered by an Intel Atom x7 -Z8700 quad core 1.6GHz processor. That is supported by either 2GB of RAM and 64GB of storage or 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, depending on your budget and needs.
Other features of the Surface 3 tablet are a 3.5 megapixel front camera and an 8 megapixel rear camera as well as connectivity provided by Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac) and Bluetooth 4.0. Ports on the tablet include Full-size USB 3.0, Mini DisplayPort, microSD card reader, Micro USB charging port, Headset jack and Cover port. Microsoft explains a little more :
