Unveiled and launched back at the end of November 2014, the MeegoPad T01 PC was expected to ship with a full copy of Microsoft windows 8.1 operating system for $100.
However now the mini stick PC has been shipped and started arriving at customers, it has been discovered that the mini PC only ships with a trial version of Windows 8.1 which needs to be activated to be used adding extra cost to the system.
At the time of publishing the $100 price point did seem extremely low for a mini PC powered by an Intel Atom Z3735F quad-core Bay Trail processor supported by 2GB of RAM shipping with Microsoft’s Windows 8.1 operating system.
So if you are thinking of purchasing the new MeegoPad T01 PC just be aware that you will need to supply a copy of Windows 8.1 or a similar operating system to make the most out of your mini PC.
Features of the new $100 MeegoPad T01 mini PC that measures just 11 x 3.9 x 1 cm in size and weighs just 50g include, a microSD card slot enabling storage for the mini stick PC to be expanded to 64GB if desired, together with 802.11b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity.
