While we’ve seen some third-party companies to release a customized version of the Blackberry Passport in gold (yes, that’s real gold-plating), but we’ve yet to see such an offering from the Canadian company itself.
However, it appears things are about to change. ShopBlackberry Canada website currently lists a limited edition black and gold Blackberry Passport online.
However, it doesn’t carry the same price tag as the standard version so if you want the Blackberry Passport in gold and black, you’ll have to shell out a whopping CAD 999, which is quite high for the smartphone. But, Blackberry mentioned it’s a limited edition device, and only 50 gold Blackberry Passports have been build worldwide. There’s also no word if that’s real gold or just a gold colored option for the Blackberry Passport. We’ll find out soon enough.
