LG has just announced a new version of their stylish LG Watch Urbane this one comes with 4G LTE built in and is called the LG Watch Urbane LTE.
The LG Watch Urbane LTE will be launching at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next week, and as it comes with 4G LTE it can make an answer calls without the need to connect it to a smartphone.
“The LG Watch Urbane LTE is an example of the kind of innovation that’s possible when you’re the industry leader in LTE technology,” said Juno Cho, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. “This smartwatch breaks new ground with the world’s first LTE connectivity and the real-watch styling of a high-end modern classic watch. It embodies our philosophy, innovation for a better life.”
The LG Watch Urbane LTE also comes with NFC and according to LG this will allow you to make mobile payments with your smartwatch.
The specifications are similar to the Watch Urbane, it features a 1.3 inch P-OLED display with a resolution of 320 x 320 pixels at 245 pixel per inch.
Processing comes in the for of a quad core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 processor and there is also 1GB of RAM and 4GB of built in storage, the device comes with a 700 mAh battery.
Connectivity comes in the for of 4G LTE, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 LE and NFC, the device also features a built in speaker and microphone.
The LG Watch Urbane LTE comes with an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance and it will be available in one color silver. We will have more information on pricing and a launch date for the device at Mobile World Congress next week.
