LG has launched a new 4K Ultra HD IPS monitor this week in the form of the massive 42.5 inch LG 43UD79-B display which comes complete with FreeSync support and can be split into a number of different views offering 4 monitors in one display.
The 42.5-inch display has a native UHD resolution of 3840 x 2160 with a conventional refresh rate of 60Hz and is now available to preorder for around $700 and is expected to be made available later this week on May 9th, 2017.
Features of the new 42.5 inch monitor include LG’s Dual Controller feature, which essentially turns the monitor into a KVM switch, 2 x USB 3.0 ports enabling users to connect the monitor to two computers and control both systems from that single mouse/keyboard if desired.
There are 2 x HDMI 2.0 inputs (4K @ 60Hz), 2 x HDMI 1.4 inputs (4K @ 30Hz), 1 x USB 3.1 Type-C port that can operate in DP Alt Mode and thus carry a DisplayPort signal, and one DisplayPort 1.2a input (4K @ 60Hz) that supports the aforementioned FreeSync feature.
