WhatsApp recently released a new version of its popular messaging app for Android. The latest version of the app comes with a new feature. The ability to re-download files that you have previously deleted. This feature is apparently only available on Android at the moment.
This was recently discovered by Wabetainfo who revealed that before this change the company only stored files for around 30 days.
Since the change the files are now stored on the company’s servers for longer than that, Wabetainfo were able to download files from over 2 months ago that had previously been deleted. It is not clears as yet on why this change has been made.
It is not clear as yet on whether this feature will be coming to the app on Apple’s iOS platform, as soon as we get some more details, we will let you guys know.
